Recognizing the shortage of health care workers nationally, University of the Pacific and Touro University California teamed up to offer qualified Pacific students guaranteed admission to select Touro health programs.

Graduate degree options with guaranteed admission include:

  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
  • Master of Public Health
  • Master of Science in Medical Health Sciences

Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine trains students in a holistic approach to medical care in which the entire patient is treated rather than just symptoms. Thirty Pacific students will be admitted annually.

Requirements

  • Current Pacific undergraduate senior
  • Science and cumulative GPAs of 3.5 or better
  • Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) score of at least 505
  • 100 hours of volunteering with osteopathic physicians, primary care clinics or underserved communities
  • Satisfy all TUC admission requirements
  • No specific major required

Master of Public Health trains students to be leaders in research, education and policymaking. Ten Pacific students will be admitted annually.

  • Current Pacific undergraduate senior
  • Science and cumulative GPAs of 2.5 or better

Master of Science in Medical Health Sciences is a one-year program preparing strong candidates for medical school and opening the door for other health care-related opportunities. Ten Pacific students will be admitted annually.

  • Current Pacific undergraduate senior
  • Science and cumulative GPAs of 3.0 or better
  • Complete all Master of Science in Medical Health Sciences admission requirements as outlined by TUC
  • Satisfy all TUC admission requirements
